Just before we got married, Clare was starting a new job and her new coworkers gave her a small set of Christmas dishes. At the time we needed everything, so — the young kids we were — we thought it a kind of a strange gift. But now here we are 32 years later and our Christmas dish collection has grown and grown! A few pieces have had shattering encounters with the floor, but that's what happens when you use stuff, right!? These dishes have become a treasured part of our family Christmas tradition and so here is a mug from our “collection”, with our 2011 tree in the background.
