We have two of these wooden train sets that come out at Christmas-time only, so each of the girls will eventually be able to have one in their home. The sides of the “cars” pull up-and-out and there are little trees and animals inside. (Those are the items that make it difficult to pack the trains away in their original boxes!) I’m pretty sure these were bought at an Elder-Beerman store, many, many *many* years ago when there was an Elder-Beerman store in Carbondale! SOOC
Note: those are *not* “drop-down” sides, so hopefully the Consumer Product Safety Commission won’t come down on these items! ;)

No drop down sides there! That is true! What a cute little family tradition. I just saw Joyce's comment up there at the top. It is weird to have all our history and all our past comments/conversations on here...it is a bit like "bottling time."
