#365

Clare and Jenny went to the gym; Roland and I went to the lake! As you can see, the lake was a sheet of glass! We had a great row of about 17 km!

Tomorrow we drive to Michigan to visit Clare's side of our family and I had something to photograph for "365" tomorrow until I realized that *today* would actually be the completion of a year for me. Tomorrow is the "anniversary" of the first post.

I've posted a lot of losers and turkeys and just-lame-shots, but there hasn't been a single filler and this year has satisfied at least one of the most important purposes I had in pursuing this endeavor: I have learned a lot about getting my camera to do what I've wanted it to do. Along the way I have just clicked sometimes and I have discovered some cool things I wasn't necessarily *trying* to do, so that's been fun.

I have also learned a ton from all of you! Your comments have been greatly, greatly appreciated, even if I haven't replied to every one. I have also learned from *your* images and I'd like to think I'm a better photographer than I was a year ago today.

Onward? I'll certainly try. I will try to avoid fillers, so there will continue to be losers and other lame posts, but they all can't be National Geographic-worthy, can they? Well, unless you live near Pike's Peak or have an architect's eye or are the Queen of Water or …
It's been fun followin gyou Thom, and glad to hear you will be continuing. The water is like a mirror. Beautiful. I bet it was a very peaceful and relaxing row (well as relaxing as it can be exerting all that energy)
