Slightly out of my comfort zone… by rhoing

Slightly out of my comfort zone…

Once upon a time I thought the entire object had to be in the frame. I have learned (from 365) that this is not so.

I was attracted to this tulip in a bouquet that our daughters had delivered to their mom on her birthday Monday. The fine lines and textures in the petals attracted me and I liked this even though it's partly cut off on the right.

Yes Thom, I still catch myself trying to focus on the entire subject. It is tough thinking out of the box when it comes to photography. We get stuck, but once we open that door, oh my, the possibilities. Very nice work on this one. The texture is very nice and soft.

Tulips have a wonderful subtle texture, and you've captured this one beautifully! I like the crop.....I tend to have a lot of my flowers and objects cropped out :-)
