In honor of the super-moon?

When we got up this morning, this was on our screen door.
Confirmed at BAMONA as “Actias luna” (Saturniidae) or “Luna moth,” hence the title for the post; http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/sighting_details/724337

Despite the fact that this moth has elegant “tails” on its hind wings, I shot this frame pretty much as you see it here, without the full moth in the frame.

Thom - the lower spots almost look like eyes, giving it an almost alien look - great find!

Very cool and great focus! I suspect most birds and other critters think twice before trying to eat one of these guys. I definitely feel like there are eyes looking at me.
