This was to be my first game at Boston’s Fenway Park; I was so excited! Heavy afternoon rain made me think it was going to become a rain-out, but the rain stopped and the game started just a few minutes late. That was fine with us: service in the restaurant where we had dinner was slow to the point of the manager discounting the bill 50%!
Steve procured the seven tickets for our group and, as you can see, we were sitting in right-center field. Great seats, Steve!
The score was 1–1 when we arrived. What we didn’t miss: Cody Ross’ two three-run homers and Ross and Adrian Gonzales hitting back-to-back homers. Also, it was the first game for Kevin Youkilis in a White Sox uniform, which was interesting.
Final score: Red Sox 10, White Sox 1 (which benefited my hometown team, the Tigers).
I was only slightly tempted to post our off-the-field entertainment: the four young guys who sat in the row in front of us. Thanks for adding to the festive atmosphere, guys, and thanks for keepin’ it “PG”!
Note. Again, I did set the date-and-time on my new P&S, but I obviously set the time after noon with a before-noon time; this shot was not taken at 8:26 a.m. the morning!
Brunch in Ball Square: Ball Square Cafe,
http://ballsquarecafe.com/ — always delicious (caramelized strawberry French toast)!
Dinner [literally] across the street from Fenway Park: Uh, well the beer was really good…
Exercise today: Another holiday none!

@sparkleplenty1 Even when the team is in last place in their division, there is just something about the atmosphere at a baseball game. Keeping things strictly American, I'm not sure the same can be said of an NFL football game (Julie and Tom's bias notwithstanding!). Of course, it helps when the home team wins!
@psychographer Aww, thanks, Lisa! I was relying on a brand new, untested camera! Fortunately, this and a few other shots captured what I was hoping to capture!
@digitalrn It was, Rick! Thanks!
