I have a cool dragonfly image from today, http://bugguide.net/node/view/697690 but I have posted other dragonfly images, so even though the leaf has been ravaged, I’m posting this katydid (Conocephalus brevipennis) for a couple reasons: (1) It documents a particular visitor to our back yard garden; (2) it may help explain the presence earlier this summer of a wasp species that isn’t supposed to be this far north: “Sphex habenus”; see http://365project.org/rhoing/365/2012-07-26 and http://bugguide.net/node/view/680331
