From here it’s about 2,000m past the little point on the right edge of the image to the southernmost tip of the lake. While Roland and I like to use this usually-calm piece of the lake for a timed 2K sprint, I didn’t have enough time to add this on to the 11,400m I’m already going to have after I row back to the dock from here.
The south dock is an extra 5 minutes of driving each way, but it’s so much easier to launch and recover from the south dock that it’s worth the extra driving. Even with northerly winds upwards of 10 mph, this was a fantastic row! Only 4 boat trailers in the parking lot was a good sign: Only encountered two fishing boats and no wakes!
Morning row today as I have an afternoon appointment with Roland to removed the “nail pop” from my right foot.
With all the grading I have been doing at this time of “first midterms,” I haven’t been responding to your comments or commenting on your posts. I hope to begin some catching-up soon! Thank you as always for visiting and your thoughtful-and-generous comments!
