Late afternoon shadows (not many frames today)

Our living room. I wanted to capture the tones and the softness of the light. What I captured instead were the texture of the pad on the piano bench and a double-shadow of the lamp on top of the piano. (The shadow to the right is directly from the sun while the shadow to the left, underneath the clock, is from light reflecting off a photo frame on the right-hand wall!) I have to admit that this shot is probably better in B&W, with thanks to Jack for not photo bombing…

For a while we were good about choosing one photo for the living room from each trip we took. In this shot:
» the pyramid at the Louvre (Paris);
» rocky shore where we happened on the seals at La Jolla, CA;
» beach chairs at Fort Lauderdale, FL (top);
» St Fagan’s: National History Museum outside Cardiff in Wales (below);
» marina at Hilton Head, SC.
Out of the shot: night shot of the White House (DC), wine estate outside San Gimignano (Tuscany) and Fallingwater (PA).

Lovely lighting.

It looks like a nice collection of photos, and I think photos like that help to bring about a more personal, and meaningful feeling. I like how you captured all the shadows
