“Seeing stars” by rhoing

“Seeing stars”

Hoya carnosa (family Apocynaceae) again. This time I was struck by the star shapes on the undersides of the flowers, the stems looking like “spokes” and the texture of the petals (magnify to see this). This is how the umbel appears naturally, hanging down like this. Must ask Dan what purpose or function this serves...

I did make another cake … with Clare’s mom’s recipe for [home-made] buttercream frosting. Yum. (I win, too!)
Love this flower ... absolutely beautiful

Sometimes we need to stand on our head to see the special things. Neat capture.
