A slice of Americana

Younger daughter Grace made this apple pie. If I’m around, I’m usually happy to peel & slice the apples (very thinly). But Jenny & Steve have a Vidalia “Chop Wizard” and that was used to get smaller apple pieces for this pie.

A current “project” that hasn’t really gotten off the ground yet is to have a series of “food photos” to hang in our [purple] kitchen. Photographing food, I’ve discovered, isn’t as simple as point-and-shoot, but maybe this image is at least “on the right track.”
