Fuzzy leaves

I don’t know what plant this is but without any flowers or fruits (reproductive parts), I’m reluctant to even ask my resident expert for an ID. I passed up a B&W shot of parsley (“Petroselinum crispum”) and a good close-up of some basil (“Ocimum basilicum,” I think) because I kept coming back to this image. There isn’t anything particularly remarkable about the plant or leaves except the way the sun was hitting the leaves and enhanced the natural textures of the leaves, including the new leaves popping out in the center.
