the flowers are quite lovely. I always thought a "butterfly bush" was named as such because it attracted butterflies.

@cheribug @digitalrn I think it's a late or a "bad" year for butterflies. I am only now beginning to see several species in the middle of the country. For the past week I have been in British Columbia and saw many gardens. For all of the gardens I saw there, you could count on the fingers of one hand how many butterflies I saw. Not species, individual butterflies. So I think this is an unusual year, at least in comparison to 2013 and 2012...
