Celebrating!

Today we’re celebrating two events:
1. Me being retired — http://365project.org/rhoing/365/2014-05-31 — *and* out-of-my-campus-office — http://365project.org/rhoing/365/2014-08-12
2. The 39th anniversary of our first date! (I’ll save you the subtraction: It was 1975 and the date of Clare’s parents’ 20th wedding anniversary.)

Back in ’75 Clare & I went to a Seals & Crofts concert (sitting on the lawn at Pine Knob, double-dating with Clare’s future maid-of-honor whose date that night was one of Clare’s [many] first-cousins).

Tonight we went to dinner at the local Thai restaurant. We’re going to Hawaii this fall, so Clare couldn’t resist the Koko Brown beer, “ale brewed with toasted coconut.”
