I want a staircase like this!

Today we went to Springfield, Illinois, the capital of the state of Illinois. This is the main staircase in the Old State Capitol. Note the arrangement of stars on the national flag on the far wall!

It was very cold in Springfield today. So while it was uncomfortable outside, local schools were closed so there were no school groups and virtually no "fellow tourists." As a result,

We have wanted to visit the Museum since it opened 10 years ago…
