Northern Water Snake by rhoing

Northern Water Snake

Took the Coffey — http://365project.org/rhoing/365/2015-05-18 — for a test drive today. I was terrible. But I didn't flip it. Yet. I'm pretty sure I'm going to flip in this one, though. Longer and faster means less stable from side-to-side. I could have gone for a swim more than a dozen times and there were upwards of a half-dozen strokes that were so bad I don't know how I managed to stay out of the water. Like I posted a couple years ago when I rowed one of Roland's longer shells, "humility."

I relied on one of my 4 or so wildlife experts who used her contacts to confirm that this is a Northern water snake. S/he was in the shallow water at the dock, darting into the rocks when I moved.
