Presider’s chair by rhoing

Presider’s chair

Today was a Wednesday for me to take Communion to the hospital, so I was in our sanctuary to get the consecrated hosts. This is the "presider's chair" for the priest who is the principal celebrant of a Mass. The chair was constructed of wood native to southern Illinois for the renovation of our worship space in 1998 by two members of our church: a carpenter and a lumber supplier. I'm not sure I ever noticed the cross design on the sides of the chair until today.
