Returned pan. Never another All-Clad. by rhoing

Returned pan. Never another All-Clad.

Friends gave us All-Clad's "butter warmer" many years ago and it's worn very well, so we took the plunge on this expensive pan to get rid of a no-stick sauce pan that isn't very no-stick any more. It was a splurge, but (of course) Clare got a deal! And while it's brand new, I can't resist the reflections on a curved surface. :)

Update—
We read the directions before use.
We followed the directions.
The pan became pitted.
We shipped it to All-Clad for evaluation.
Their evaluation: "not a production issue … usage and care issue."
Uh huh. Following *your* directions?
Plus it was a pain to clean.
We returned it to Crate & Barrel.
First-and-last All-Clad purchase.

I actually felt sorry for the people who won the $1.5 billion lottery--it's the little things in life like this that actually bring a bit of pleasure.

@digitalrn Yes! I think that's true of most of the best cooking pans!
