Hoof-shaped leaves by rhoing

Hoof-shaped leaves

Bauhinia species; common name “Orchid tree,” though of course it's not an orchid.

The genus apparently produces beautiful flowers, but because this tree is in a greenhouse, it's constantly being pruned. As a result, it's produced exactly one flower according to the Greenhouse staff.

Genus page at PhytoImages, http://phytoimages.siu.edu/cgi-bin/dol/dol_terminal.pl?taxon_name=Bauhinia&rank=genus
