Final homecoming by rhoing

Final homecoming

Today we returned home through Minneapolis-St. Paul. Since this was going to be our "ride" back to St. Louis, I watched what was happening outside at the gate.

The two servicemen saluting on the left got off the aircraft before any other passengers and then the deceased serviceperson's remains were taken off.

Delta Airlines apparently has its Fallen Soldier Program for following this protocol when needed. According to the MSP gate agent I talked to, someone from Delta comes to the gate with a flag and gets that to the crew that transfers the remains to a cart. There were quite a few moist eyes that got off this flight.

Apparently there is a much more involved procedure in Atlanta at times.

@espyetta Been traveling a lot, so — once again — I am ~2 weeks behind. Sigh…
