“Button fern” by rhoing

“Button fern”

Scientifically, “Tectaria cicutaria.” The scientific description of this image would be "Frond, adaxial side, showing bublets." Sure, right? But the bublets are in addition to sori, which appear on the other side of the frond (the “abaxial” side). I have been trying to photograph this plant with a macro lens, but it was difficult getting all of the buttons or bublets in focus. Giving up on the macro lens, I have some success here with the P&S.
