A drive in the country

The fabric on our patio chairs has been UV-damaged to point of tearing. Clare obtained "a name" of a guy who may be able to recover them, so I took two of the chairs out to his shop, which is 8 miles out of town. Passed lots of orchards and grazing livestock on my drive. The sheep weren't keen on being photographed, so I have to settle for this shot of an orchard path. Pretty sure these are peach trees on the left of this path (genus Prunus) and apples on the right (genus Malus).

Fun facts—
Plums, cherries, peaches, nectarines, apricots and almonds all belong to the same genus.

In addition to Prunus and Malus, the following genera all belong to the same plant family: the rose family (Rosaceae):
» Cercocarpus (mahogany),
» Fragaria (strawberry),
» Pyrus (pear),
» Rubus (blackberry, boysenberry, bramble, raspberry, salmonberry, thimbleberry, wineberry), and
» Sorbus (ash)
