Chick update

There are at least 4 chicks in this small nest, but after this shot, there were 3. I moved my step-ladder to the other side of the nest and when I stepped up on it, this one flew away. Clearly capable of flight, it's on its own now.

And then later the same day? The nest was empty.

@danette Doesn't look ready to leave the nest, but it was "airworthy"! Today — 3 days later — I found one of the chicks on the ground just a few feet from the nest. But apparently 3-of-4 "made" it.
