@888rachel It's called a precision cooker. Essentially it's a heater and a pump and it stands in a large pot of water. Set the temperature on the appliance and wait for it to heat the water. Place food in plastic vacuum bags (we call them "zip-lock" bags in the US); submerge the bag in the water and cook. Meat doesn't dry out because it won't heat beyond the set temperature and the moisture is contained. :) Have also cooked carrots with this.
