Patch in place: two coats of mud

First coat of mud provides the adhesion around the seam and under the "flaps." Once I moved the cabinet-and-counter away from the wall, I could get longer strokes with the mud knife, so this is after two coats of mud…

@thewatersphotos This is after two coats and I'm much happier than I was after the first coat. There is a cabinet above this patch and the switches to the left, so I can't make long strokes in all directions, but I am hopeful it will turn out well [enough] now that I moved the counter top away from the wall!
