Longleaf Pondweed by rhoing

Longleaf Pondweed

From seated in a rowing shell: Potamogeton nodosus. My plant biologist friend will probably label this as an “infructescence” (a cluster of fruits).

Feeling mildly guilted by @marlboromaam, I managed to ID this plant myself before submitting this to my plant expert. It's always embarrassing to learn that it's something that's been ID’ed for me before and I photographed this plant at the lake 5+ years ago.

LOL! Did I shame you? No! Lovely shot of this longleaf pondweed! I can never remember the scientific names of things.

@marlboromaam Oh, sorry. “Shamed” is inappropriately harsh. How about “guilted”? :)

@rhoing I'll go with that, but if I had an expert at hand - I don't know that I wouldn't use them, too. =)

Glad to know others observe things along the way.
