My triangular side is 6×12" on the legs of the right triangle, so the angle that's labelled 30° in the diagram is not 30°, but rather 26.6°:
arctan(6 ÷ 12) = arctan(½) = 0.463647609 rad = 26.6° (not 30°).

In order for the smaller angle to be 30°, the hypotenuse would have to measure 12". Then the sine of the small angle would be 6 ÷ 12 = ½ (side-opposite ÷ hypotenuse), and arcsin(½) = 0.5236.rad = 30°.

I have a math nerd at home, so I do appreciate all those numbers. The only problem is he didn't get it from me LOL.

@dutchothotmailcom It's a calf-raise block for stretching and physical therapy. I was going to add a comment to the text that I probably lost Esther at "arctan..." ;)
@marlboromaam Some of the cuts would have been a *lot* easier with a table saw, but I do not have a table saw. I can't really justify the storage space for as few times as I might have need or use of one. For those not determined to make one at home, there are plenty of commercially-available products. :)
