“Outside” goal for today was 15,674m to best last season’s total for lake rowing meters. But 10 miles (16,090m) is a nice round number and not a whole lot more than 15,674m (9.74 miles). So this is 5.01 miles from the dock. :) The same distance back and on the 113th day of the current rowing season (May 1–April 30), I’ve already matched last season’s on-water total. Of course this is built on the fact that the gym has been closed since March, but still!
Rowing numbers Out: 8,062m in 44:07.4 (2:44.1 per 500m); 974s; 2 CLAMs (I think) Back: 8,058m in 48:08.6 (2:59.2 per 500m); 1,020s; 1 CLAM (I think)
Much, much slower pace coming back (more than 15" per 500m slower), but it still only adds up to 4' longer for the whole, 5-mile row.
Next goals:
» 2015: 368,510m (2,776m to go)
» 2018: 380,318m (14,584m to go or one 15K row)
» Life-time: 4 million meters (118,185m to go)
» 2013: 855,621m
» 2012: 887,881m
Those last two will be a stretch…
