Blue spruce by rhoing

Blue spruce

My friend and plant expert will probably label this as “Needles on shoot,” but I’m curious about the new growths at the tips of these two shoots. I'm submitting this for inclusion in the database he co-curates because there are no photos of this stage in the database.

» When I took the photo, I didn’t notice the maple samara caught in the needles.
