On The Headrow This Morning

This was another hip shot from today, I'm not entirely sure what to make of it. On the one hand I was shooting randomly from the hip rather than framing the subject but on the other I'm not sure if it's too "up close and personal". Whatever I'm posting it for today, I think she looks great and I love the coat she's wearing, and I like the buses behind her...

Excellent capture! Like it from the hip! Use to know a man who never looked thru his viewfinder to take a picture...and somehow he had the most amazing pictures!

Aw, she's a lovely ol' dear. She seems the type who would have a good old natter to you if you if you caught her at the bus stop.
This is pretty perfectly framed for shooting from the hip

What a terrific face! And I love the black and white. The busses in the background lend interest to the photo.

So when you say "shoot from the hip" do you mean you're literally carrying your camera at your hip so that people don't notice you're taking pics or do you mean you're taking spontaneous pics? This may be a ding-dong question, but I'm really not sure. I've not tried street photography.

Great photo. I want to try shooting from the hip and haven't been brave enough to try it yet. I can imagine that old woman coming over and slapping me silly. lol

Yeah.... she's coming to get you!! Did you see on the news over the last couple of weeks, in the US, a handbag wielding lady fended off numerous jewellery store theives?..... I'd say 'duck & weave Rich'..... :P

I think she's ready to take you out for snapping her pic...

It is up close and personal but that is why I like it so much. Do you think she knew you were taking her picture?

It is a great capture and not too close. I love this street shot, she has a lot of character in her face that you would not have captured if you were not this close. Really like this one. A fav for sure.
