Lest We Forget

Next Wednesday will be ANZAC day, when Australia and New Zealand remember their war dead. This statue of a New Zealand soldier stands at one end of Sydney's ANZAC bridge. Times have obviously moved on since the second world war (if you look carefully, you'll see a jet passing in the background) but those who died will never be forgotten.
