Found the eagle up on the cell tower again this morning. Just wish the tower wasn't so tall, or maybe I need to get a bigger lens. Yeah, that's it. It did stay for several shots, but then decided to leave.
I think it's so neat that you're able to find an eagle in a half-way reliable spot - yeah, cell towers are a little higher than trees, but you're getting pretty good at that height.
@milaniet Thanks Milanie. Yeah, I've been keeping my out on this one, as he does seem to frequent it. Next time, I'll pull my stand out and see if it will make a difference.
I can't imagine just happening across a bald eagle and being able to take a photo of it - how cool is that!
A bigger lens sounds like a great idea. Shame 365ers can't buy a job lot and get a huge discount! Maybe you could ask Santa - I'm going to add it to my ever growing list of photography wants!
@nickspicsnz Yeah Nick. Was quite happy to find this one. Have seen it on several occasions, so will be keeping an eye on that spot for a while. I've already mentioned/hinted about a new lens from Santa. Will just have to wait and see.
It's so exciting to get a glimpse of these magnificent birds in the wild. I too wish I had a super-duper telephoto for moments like this one. What would really be nice is if the eagles knew whom they could trust and just come a little closer when I and my camera arrive. Yeah, that's it too!
