Wish some more attractive birds would land on the pier railing like that, instead of this homely looking fellow. Notice the white splotches on the feathers. Think this one is one of the low men on the roost perches in the evening. Yuck! :-) I know, TMI.
This is an impressive capture despite the homeliness of the subject. They really are a rather unattractive bird, aren't they. Bless their hearts tho, being stuck with looks that only a mother could, uh, love. (Does this guy have cataracts?? His eye looks cloudy.)
