Had walked the trail this morning and hadn't really seen anything, much less the owl. Then I started hearing several Blue Jays screaming and sort of zooming through a section of trees. So had to ease down a little closer, and sure enough, there he sat. The Jays were screaming at the owl. And you could tell from the owl''s movement's, that it was sort of nervous sitting there, having the jays buzzing him. So didn't get many shots today, as the owl took off further out into the woods. Not sure what the jays have against the owl, but it's not the first time I've seen this.
It does seem odd that the blue jays would take objection to him - but know I too have watched little birds dive bomb the bigger ones frequently - seems so funny. Like the focus on his neat eyes.
