Barred Owl Getting Ready for it's Nightly Rendezvous!

Did go down a little early for the sunset, so took a short walk on the trail to see if any of the owl's might be hanging out, and sure enough, this fellow was sitting right above the trail. Eye's wide open and very alert. It was definitely listening and watching for his time to depart.

Oh man! What awesome photo ops this owl gives you! I'm envious. I've photographed only one owl in all the time I've been on 365, and that's because I've only SEEN one owl, and that was pure luck.
