Not many of the birds will hang around when the bullies move in. These guys tend to take over, but usually, they will land, grab a bite and take off. Not sure what they are so shy.
You called it right on the shyness - they're hit and run guys at my feeder - even when I'm focused on the feeder and expecting them, they grab and are gone before I can snap the shutter. You, on the other hand, got great focus on this guy! I'm major impressed. Fav
