Pretty sure this is the mom of the two little owls. Been seeing her around each time Iv'e been down there. Just couldn't get her to open those eyes, for nothing. As I was walking into the area this morning, there was a lady standing next to the trail waving a branch, and I couldn't figure out what in the world she was doing. But then saw this one up in the tree, so think she may have been trying to get the eyes open or to just wake it up. :-)
Mom most definitely isn't worried about people being around - it's her bedtime and she's not to be disturbed. At least she stays still and lets you get such not focus on her feathers.
