I had gone down yesterday to this park and walked it and as I was getting close to my car, heard a couple of these owls hooting. I looked all over those trees and could not find any sign of them. So had to go back today. Couldn't believe it, just as I got on the trail, I looked up in the tree that I thought that I heard them in yesterday, and saw this guy sitting up there. Had to go all around to get the best view, but finally found one that did give me a frontal view. Good thing about the Barred Owls, is that they don't seem to go as high as the GH owls, so they are a little easier to see.
