Bakewell Bridge

The medieval packhorse bridge in Bakewell Derbyshire. The young man with his arms outstretched seemed to be pretending he was Kate Winslet in the Titanic film :)
Wonderfully composed. Love the repeating arches and the intense clouds.

Hard to pick up that young man but his horizontal white arms stand out! A beautiful bridge!

Lovely b&w & a fantastic bridge. I've enlarged & looked for the boy, but can't find him. But then when people point to the sky & say look at that, it takes me ages to be looking in the right place!

@carole_sandford Hi carole the young man in question is between the 3rd and 4th arches when viewing left to right. He certainly wasn't the subject of the shot but it amused me when I spotted him in shot.

A fabulous old bridge. I wonder if the chap performing the Titanic moment knows that he is now world famous.

If that's the bridge I think it is then I have driven across it dozens of times and never really noticed it. I'm up that way just before Xmas so will have to go and have a closer look. Nice capture 🙂

The black and white really brings out all the textures. Glad you were able to get over here and your wife was able to enjoy the heather at Surprise View.
