I don't know why but of the three churches I visited on Sunday this one had a bad vibe about it. Its the Church of St Martin in the quiet little village of Lyndon in Rutland. I read up afterwards that the village got its name from the Lyndon family and that the eldest brother was thought to have died in the crusades. His younger sibling then inherited the land and church. The older brother then returned from the crusades unexpectedly and after being welcomed home was later found dead in the nearby river...
