For the 52 week dogwood challenge "Take a picture that tells us who you are, without actually showing your face" This is me taking in the view across Rutland Water in one of the more isolated areas. Processed in black and white as I often find myself in a dark mood particularly at this time of year. Photography provides me with something to escape the dark and push the shadows away. I set this up by leaving the camera on a 20 second self timer then firing 9 shots which gave me just enough time to scramble down the rocks to the shoreline!
@graemestevens thanks I was feeling a bit stark although I'm thankfully fully clothed! @mona65 thanks it was in my head for the challenge although it was a last minute change to this venue.
You succeeded with the stark feeling to this. January in particular can be a dark month! However the thought of you scrambling across the rocks to get in position, in only 20 seconds made me smile!
@joysabin Thank you not my normal style but it's good to try something different :)
@mona65 thanks it was in my head for the challenge although it was a last minute change to this venue.
@cirasj thank you
@shannejw Thanks!
@kali66 yes I'm hoping to push my boundaries a little more this year!
(Taking photos is a relatively new experience for me but I do find it engrossing and uplifting)
This current gloomy weather doesn't help to lift your mood but photography definitely does, just need some better light!
