After Lincoln Cathedral we popped over to RAF Scampton to see if the Red Arrows were practicing. We weren't dissapointed. This is the 5 ship formation known as Enid after Enid Blyton's famous 5
@huvesaker thanks. @carole_sandford yes I think so near Crash gate 8. I've never been before so went with the theory that there were others parked there so must be ok. They like their double yellow lines round Scampton!
@rjb71 sounds as if it was right next to the airfield. The viewing area is just as you turn to Scampton Village. I usually nip into the old quarter area, but I noticed that they have recently put up private parking signs. I tend to think, that I am not leaving my car & can move if asked......
@carole_sandford yes there quite handy maps. There's one for each base. Closer inspection shows we went past the viewing area to the top of that road. There are at least 6 cars up there and no visits from the MOD Police :)
