Had to visit a customer in Lincoln today so took a rest break at the cafe at RAF Waddington on the way back. This is Vulcan XM607 famous for the black buck bombing raids on Port Stanley in the Falklands war and now a gate guardian.It looks like its in need of some tlc probably not helped by the cold grey weather that we are currently enjoying!
Do you know, before I read your narrative, I looked at this & thought that looks like the gate guard at Waddington . Then when I saw it was you, I guessed it probably was!
@moviegal1 thank you @carole_sandford yes had a sneaky business trip into Lincoln. The cathedral looked quite good shrouded in mist.. Also went by a roundabout that had a tank on it proclaiming Lincoln home of the tank! It will be nice when we can visit for a wander seems a long time ago now.
