Almost ready

There is only one peregrine falcon chick this year, but it's looking good and is going to fledge very soon, which is better than last year when all 4 chicks (not much younger than this one) were stolen - http://365project.org/roachling/365/2013-06-10

It's a shame I don't have a big zoomy lens for the DSLR though, this was maximum zoom on my bridge camera. I don't have a tripod and it was windy so it's a poor quality photo, but you can at least tell that it's a peregrine!
Excellent photos Louise.

One of those shots which is great to get at all even if not technically perfect. Good luck to this year's baby.

Fantastic! It must be great to see them out in the wild! Such amazing birds!

It's so nice to see they've had better luck this year! I've not had the chance to get up there yet to have a look, so thanks for posting this :-)

anyone that gets any birds that are recognizable has done amazingly! There are pigeons here in abundance, but they just won't sit still...

Great capture Louise. So glad to hear it's survived! Last year was so sad to read they had been stolen. I love raptors.

Well that's great news. I just don't understand this theft thing. When we went to Mull we got a sense of how the island was going to lock down when the eagles started nesting. Really tricky for the people who do the bird watching tours.

Great capture, so sad that birds can't breed properly.
