A beautiful crow by roachling

A beautiful crow

On Friday, whilst I was working at a wildlife trust reserve, I spotted a pair of leucistic crows sitting on the path ahead, but as I was carrying some kit and had children with me, I wasn't able to take a photo before they flew up into the trees.

Today, Dave and I drove down to the reserve in the hope of seeing them again and we were lucky. We only saw one of the two birds this time, but I was able to take some reasonable photos.

We also found the resident terrapin (he appears every spring/summer, basking on the lake, and has done for the last ten years - though to be a dumped pet) and grasshoppers, dragonflies, shield bugs and spiders too.
Beautiful shot

Good capture, I don't think I've ever seen a crow this colour before

@dizzyd it's not common, the colour is caused by reduced levels in all the skin pigments. It has blue eyes too.

Beautiful capture, he's gorgeous, fav. Glad the terrapin is doing ok. I can't even tell you here what I think of people who dump pets, but perhaps in this case it was better for the pet.
