I don't really like the road in this photo but I did like the sunlight on the clouds. I planned to take another from a different spot where the views are pretty amazing, but a minute later, when I got there, some cloud had blocked the sunlight - doh!
Wonderful shot, great morning sky. I don't know but I think the road works here, it brings in foreground interest, and leads you up to that lovely sky.
Such delicate lighting - I see so many shots I would like to take driving in to work in the mornings but never have the time to stop because of the traffic.
@virtualbrownie I've been leaving about 10 minutes earlier each morning so I can take a photo before work this week! I don't encounter traffic problems but I do struggle to find places to pull in as I largely travel on single track lanes... I've also been experimenting with different routes this week where there are more views and wider roads or more places I can pull in for a mo! 365 isn't easy when there is so little daylight!
the fact that you even caught those pinks so beautifully is amazing. I often see great sky stuff while driving to and from work. Can't photograph it and can't pull over. Then it's gone. I just hope that I don't cause any accidents sky-gazing while I'm supposed to be driving...
