A Red-throated pipit has visited Derbyshire this weekend :) You don't see many of these in Britain and when they do come over, it's usually in September or October so I was pretty thrilled that this one decided to visit somewhere I could easily visit, on a bank holiday when I had no real plans!
If only I had a better camera though! This was the maximum zoom, hand held on a windy day and the bird was actually on the other side of the field, so not a bad shot considering. A nice record of the sighting, if nothing else.

but the best view was off a lane on the other side of the field where there were a lot more! I had serious lens envy!
