A common lizard seen in Sherwood Forest this morning. Brilliant find! It was basking in the sunshine on a birch tree. This picture was taken vertically but looks much better rotated due to the tree leaning over to the right at quite an angle.
I was at Sherwood Forest for The Major Oak Woodland Festival and had a brilliant day - blog post to follow in a few days with lots more photos :)
