Giants

I'm taking part in Wild Arena's July Photo Challenge this month (or at least I'm going to see how far I get with it!) and today's theme was 'giants'.

A tricky subject... I had a hospital visit this morning and wildplay work in the afternoon so I didn't have the time to go out seeking giants today... the best I could come up with was the rocks at Home, which are quite giant! Pretty lame but it's better than nothing!

Here's the challenge info:

Well, they are pretty impressive rocks Louise. I love the patterns on the stone. Was this part of a quarry or has nature taken it's course here?

@flowerfairyann No this is entirely natural :) This is where I grew up so there are lots more photos of the area in my 'roachling-home' tag on the right but I've picked out a few alternative views of these rocks from my project to give a better idea of the landscape...

Definitely 'giant'! The shed is just right as it gives an idea of how big the rocks are.

These rocks are really similar to places in Oregon, and I assume from the same type volcanic event.

Check out what they did with the rocks at one observatory https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dee_Wright_Observatory
