I only just got a photo in time for today. Heading to bed with this book... I'd not read a single August poem in it yet... I've been so busy I've lacked either the time or the staying awake power to read. This is going to be the first month for more than two years that I've not managed to finish a single book!
@bulldog The would definitely not be possible for me, so lacking in imagination and creativity, but I'm sure you could come up with something for each one!
@bulldog something to do with the three kings I think! Can't remember now.
There are loads of poems in it that could easily be translated into a 365 shot but it would be so hard if you doing it daily and there would be a lot of really difficult days!
I haven't actually like many of the poems in this book, a lot of them I find dull so it's not one I would recommend unless you really love poetry of all varieties!
@bulldog@roachling I'm not Catholic, but I taught at a Catholic school for a couple years. Jan. 6th is epiphany, the day the magi, aka the three kings, or three wise men, arrived to see Jesus.
I love the idea of writing a poem a day to match my photographs and have debated trying it many times, but so far, better judgement rules.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond I'm not a big poetry fan either... I do like some poets (nature writer types!) but as a rule, I don't 'get' poetry... I have a very literal mind, I miss out on the implied meanings and real idea behind poems I think. I thought this book would be interesting and expand my poetic horizons a little bit but mostly I find the poems a bore!
If you look at the book on Amazon, where you can 'look inside' you can see a list of the poems for each month in the contents and then google a few poems and see what you think!

Jan 3: The Months
Jan 6: Journey of the Magi????? What is that?
